THE LEMNISCATE TRISKELION CUFF
Our Triskelion is a unique derivation of the antediluvian“Triskele” spiral design that dates to the Neolithic era. First observed at the Newgrange Stone Age passage tomb in Boyne Valley, Ireland, the “three legged” spiral was adopted by ancient Pagan Celts, and heavily developed into numerous variant designs in the British Isles before the influx of Christianity. Though its original meaning is lost to the ages, its importance to the civilizations that have adopted it remains significant. The Triskelion has been conflated with the Holy Trinity in modern Christian tradition.
In honor of the origins of the design, our Triskelion is arranged in an intentional 3-part graduated design. The outer perimeter of the Flap is filled with our classic Wandering Knot border, which contains the middle ring of ornate lemniscates (infinity symbols). Appropriately, these encircle the elaborate knotted Triskelion.
This is the Lemniscate Triskelion Leather Cuff. It features a triskele embossed on the leather and surrounded by Celtic knot work to create a beautiful leather band. This cuff is a one size fits all bracelet with buckles and has five holes for sizing at 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5, and 9 inches. You can just clip off any excess length with kitchen shears. Measurements are 3 inches wide by 7-9 inches long. If you need a different size than what is available, please email me.
