The Troth Targe A Highland Targe by Mike Pruette This is the a commissioned Highland Targe by Celtic Leatherworks. This leather shield was carried by the Highland warrior for personal defense. The foreground of this targe features a magnificent cross encircled by the Latin “Si Vis Pacem Para Bellum”, “If You Wish Peace, Prepare For War”. It is 19 inches in diameter and constructed with a 3/4 inch plywood core.
