The Beast of the Highlands Targe

The Beast of the Highlands targe features modern Celtic elements blended with old world style to create this gorgeous shield. It was a commissioned targe.

 

This 25 in. round targe is 3/4 in. thich and weighs 11 lbs. It features tooled knots and Celtic Dragons. The brass boss in the center is hand hammered. The Celtic knotwork inside the cross is a designed to match the tattoo of the targe’s owner.

This Highland targe is fully functional, but is intended as Celtic art.
